IBM) is reportedly cutting over 1,000 jobs in China, according to several state media outlets, as rising geopolitical tensions between Beijing and Washington push global companies to rethink their operations in the world’s second-largest economy.
Relations between the U.S. and China have worsened over technology sectors like artificial intelligence (AI) and green energy, partly due to national security concerns. In response, some firms have quietly laid off staff or relocated employees.
